We have learned that the Mac Hodges team suffered two major losses in the first two weeks of Sept. First, Dan Stephens, who built the B-29 and who piloted the X-1 rocket plane, passed away the week of September 1, 2008. Dan was one fine gentlemen and is a great loss to the modeling community. Then, on September 13, 2008 the B-29 folded a wing and was destroyed in the resulting crash. You can see video of the sad crash here.
